Homura: The Crimson Warriors is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Blood, Language, Mild Suggestive Themes, Use of Alcohol, and Violence. This is a visual novel in which players follow the story of a ninja sent to serve a lord and his Ten Braves during fictionalized events from the Sengoku era in Japan. As players interact with various characters and travel down multiple storylines, they can witness instances of violence: characters stabbing each other; gunfire sound effects; blood-splatter effects. Players can engage in romantic relationships with characters—still images/sequences depict characters kissing; one female character is depicted with a revealing outfit (e.g., deep cleavage). The dialogue contains several references to sake, alcohol, and being drunk (e.g., Yeah, I'm a heavy drinker"; "get us drunk, trust me"); one scene depicts a character challenging his friends to a drinking contest. The words “sh*t” and “a*shole” appear in the game.
