Beneath

Beneath is rated M for Mature 17+ by the ESRB with Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, and Strong Language. This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of a deep ocean diver (Noah Quinn) washed up on a mysterious research vessel. As players explore deeper levels of the station/vessel, they use wrenches, pistols, machine guns, and explosives to battle various enemies (e.g., human soldiers, zombies, monsters). Combat is highlighted by realistic gunfire, screams of pain, explosions, and frequent blood-splatter effects. Some environments contain severed heads, body parts, and/or mutilated corpses; one cutscene depicts a monster mutilating human enemies (e.g., tearing the limbs off a soldier; causing soldiers' heads to explode). The word “f**k” appears in the game.
