The Persistence

The Persistence is rated M for Mature 17+ by the ESRB with Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, and Strong Language. This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of a clone trying to bring a spaceship back to earth. As players explore the ship and search for supplies, they use stealth tactics and melee combat to fight mutated crew members. Players use blades, bludgeoning weapons, guns, and explosives to kill enemies in frenetic combat. One weapon allows players to harvest stem cells by piercing mutants' skulls/necks with a retractable claw. Close-up melee attacks depict mutants' throats getting slashed and eyes gauged out. Some mutants are seen with caved in skulls, half their heads missing, and/or exposed viscera. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” appear in the dialogue.
