Rating Summary
Mystery Masters: The Secret Stories Collection is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Blood, Mild Violence, and Use of Alcohol and Tobacco. This is a collection of hidden-object games in which players assume the role of characters who solve mysteries, hunt for mystical items, and interact with characters from different time periods. Players solve puzzles and search through scenes of jumbled objects to advance each storyline. Some cutscenes depict various acts of violence: a man being punched in the face; a prisoner getting electrocuted; a character holding a knife to a woman's throat. Acts of murder are also referenced in the dialogue or on-screen text (e.g., “They threatened to kill my wife and daughter!” and “He stabs him mid-chest, a mortal wound . . .”). Some sequences depict large blood stains on the floor; bloody handprints on a wall; and traces of blood on a character's body. During the course of the game, some tobacco-related products are included as searchable items, and a sailor is depicted with a lit smoking pipe in his mouth. In one sequence, players use a cocktail machine to mix up an alcoholic beverage for a character, who promptly drinks it.
