This is a simulation game in which players help a detective find his uncle's missing ashes in one episode and investigate the kidnapping of two children in the second episode. The game is a mix of live action video clips (with real actors) and hidden object gameplay that takes place in a photo-realistic setting. Players can visit and photograph crime scenes, gather trace evidence (e.g., fingerprints, hair samples, and shoe prints), and analyze clues at a forensics crime lab. Clues/evidence can sometimes include bloodstains that are discovered at crime scenes and brought to the lab for further examination. Some of the video clips include depictions or allusions to violent acts: A child is abducted from a bedroom; a man is hit over the head with a bottle; there are close-up photos of rope marks on a child's wrists; a trailer depicts a dead man lying face down. During the course of the game, characters occasionally make suggestive comments (e.g., "Larson got his position the old fashioned way - He slept with someone's daughter."). In one scene, a woman is depicted wearing a halter top that exposes deep cleavage, as the camera zooms in on her "nametag." Other characters are depicted smoking cigarettes, and alcohol is referenced and consumed throughout the game.
