This is a compilation of stylized and 8-bit action games in which players assume the roles of Marvel superheroes, traversing side-scrolling levels to battle villains, In some games, players use punches, kicks, and special attacks (e.g., web shot, shield throw, lightning strikes) to defeat enemies in melee-style combat. Side-scrolling shooter games involve firing blasters and lasers to destroy waves of enemy ships and robots. One still-image depicts a character with blood trickling down his mouth; another background image depicts a pixilated elephant's head with exposed red flesh.
