Rating Summary
Echoes of Aincrad is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Blood and Gore, Language, Mild Suggestive Themes, and Violence. Also includes In-Game Purchases. This is an action role-playing game in which players help a character escape from an online virtual world. From a third-person perspective, players traverse a fantasy world while completing quests and engaging in melee-style combat with enemy creatures (e.g., kobolds, trolls). Players use swords, hammers, and scythes to slash and kill enemy creatures that disappear as digitized cubes. Enemies are sometimes dismembered or decapitated, with orange blood-like liquid spurting out. One area depicts red blood stains on the ground. Some cutscene sequences depict additional acts of violence: a boss creature decapitated; large wolf-like creatures slashed in half. Some female characters are designed with deep cleavage and jiggling breasts. The words “sh*t” and “a*shole” are heard in the game.
