Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss

Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss is rated M for Mature 17+ by the ESRB with Blood and Gore, Strong Language, and Violence. This is a first-person adventure game, set in 2053, in which players assume the role of an agent investigating the disappearance of miners deep in the ocean. Players explore various stations, search for clues, and read letters/listen to tapes to further the storyline. Some cutscenes depict characters being stabbed or slashed, occasionally from a first-person perspective; one sequence depicts a character's fingers being sliced off. An audio recording implies that a character's eyes have been gouged out; the character is depicted with a bloody, empty eye socket. Some environments depict mutilated corpses (e.g., severed heads, limbs). The word “f**k” appears in the game.
