Rating Summary
Neon Inferno is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Blood and Gore, Drug Reference, Mild Suggestive Themes, Use of Tobacco, and Violence. This is an action platformer in which players control assassins through a futuristic New York City. From a 2D perspective, players use guns and blades to kill various enemies (e.g., gangsters, robots, corrupt police). Projectiles are brightly colored and somewhat slow despite realistic gunfire sounds. Blood-splatter effects can occur, and a handful of enemies briefly explode into blood and body parts when killed. Some female characters are designed with revealing outfits (e.g., deep cleavage, low-cut tops) and jiggling breasts. Characters are frequently seen smoking cigarettes or cigars, and the dialogue references fictional drugs (e.g., It's his standard Bronx dead drop, near Melrose. Epiketamine, printed psychs, you know the drill”; "Was he using again?").
