I Hate This Place

I Hate This Place is rated M for Mature 17+ by the ESRB with Blood and Gore, Strong Language, and Violence. This is an action game in which players assume the role of a girl searching for her missing friend in a world of monsters and warped reality. From an overhead perspective, players explore a town, scavenge and craft items, interact with characters, and evade demonic enemies. Players are sometimes chased and attacked by enemies, resulting in blood-splatter effects. Players use baseball bats, pistols, shotguns, and Molotov cocktails to attack enemies. Combat is highlighted by impact sounds, blood-splatter effects, and cries of pain. One sequence requires players to saw the hand off a corpse; some environments contain bloodstains, animal corpses, and viscera on the ground. The word “f**k” appears in the game.
