Rating Summary
Disciples: Domination is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Blood and Gore, Mild Language, Suggestive Themes, and Violence. This is a strategy role-playing game in which players help a queen reassert her claim to the throne in a fantasy kingdom. From a top-down perspective, players explore environments, interact with characters, and battle humans and fantasy creatures (e.g., banshees, dryads, golems) in turn-based combat. Players position units across a hex-based battlefield and choose weapon attacks/spells to defeat enemies. Combat is highlighted by sword slashes, impact sounds, and cries of pain. Enemies sometimes emit large splashes of blood when hit; a handful of environments depict mutilated corpses (e.g., impaled, burned, missing limbs) amid blood stains. The game contains some suggestive material: dialogue alluding to sex (e.g., “...[T]he elf stripped...her armor…She let down...her clothes. When they threw themselves at each other, there was only furor, expressed in all the ways their bodies could imagine”); a female creature designed with exposed breasts—though with no discernable details (e.g., no nipples). The word “bastard” is heard in the game.
