This is an action platformer in which players assume the role of a librarian trying to repair magical books in a fantastical world. Players traverse platform levels, while collecting items, jumping and dashing, and battling enemies. Players use swords and magic spells (e.g., bursts of fire, balls of energy) to defeat small enemies (e.g., monsters, humans) and bosses. Combat is highlighted by light effects and cries of pain. One task prompts players' character to retrieve barrels of alcohol. The word “bastard” appears in the game.
