Rating Summary
The Rogue Prince of Persia is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Blood, Fantasy Violence, and Mild Language. This is a platformer game in which players assume the role of a prince righting his wrongs and attempting to save his Persian kingdom. From a 2D side-scrolling perspective, players traverse environments, interact with characters, and battle human and fantastical enemies (e.g., shamans, scarabs, smoke skulls). Players use daggers, swords, axes, and claws to attack enemies in melee-style combat; battles are highlighted by impact sounds, light effects, and blood-splatter effects that stain the ground/walls. Some environments also contain bloodstains and/or corpses in the background. The word “bastard” appears in the game.
