Rating Summary
John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando is rated M for Mature 17+ by the ESRB with Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, and Strong Language. Also includes Users Interact. This is an action game in which players lead a mercenary squad on a mission to contain a zombie outbreak. From a first-person perspective, players traverse mining facilities while using machine guns, pistols, and explosives to shoot and kill hordes of zombies. Combat is accompanied by realistic gunfire, explosions, and large blood-splatter effects. Killing zombies often results in dismemberment and/or decapitation; body parts and large blood stains are seen in surrounding area. Players can keep shooting zombie corpses (i.e., postmortem damage), resulting in severed limbs and additional blood-splatter effects. The word “f**k” is heard in the game.
