Rating Summary
Directive 8020 is rated M for Mature 17+ by the ESRB with Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, and Strong Language. Also includes Users Interact and In-Game Purchases. This is a survival-horror adventure game in which players assume the roles of crew members on a spaceship attempting to escape an alien organism. As players progress through the game, they explore environments while choosing action/decision paths via on-screen prompts. Players can complete quick-time events to attack enemies; some prompt choices lead to cutscenes depicting intense acts of violence and/or blood and gore: characters shot; characters stabbed/impaled; a drill impaling a character's eye, close-up; a character's head crushed; a character decapitated—large blood-splatter effects often accompany these scenes. The word “f**k” appears in the game.
