Rating Summary
Agatha Christie - Death on the Nile is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Alcohol and Tobacco Reference, Language, Mild Blood, and Mild Violence. This is a puzzle-adventure game in which players help detectives, Hercule Poirot and Jane Royce, investigate murder cases during a cruise on the Nile. Players solve puzzles, interview/confront suspects, collect clues/evidence from crime scenes, and deduce the circumstances of the murders. The game depicts instances of violence during the investigations: a man shot off-screen; a woman shot from behind; a woman strangled during a struggle. Blood appears on the bodies of corpses and wounded characters. A handful of sequences require players to interact with cigars and wine; the dialogue also references alcohol (e.g., “She was clearly drunk..."; “He was so drunk that he even put two empty champagne bottles in his jacket.”). The word “sh*t” is heard in the game.
