Rating Summary
RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business is rated M for Mature 17+ by the ESRB with Blood and Gore, Drug Reference, Intense Violence, and Strong Language. Also includes In-Game Purchases. This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of RoboCop as he battles mercenaries in a fictionalized Detroit. Players use pistols, shotguns, and machine guns to kill human enemies in frenetic combat; fighting is highlighted by realistic gunfire, flesh-ripping sounds, and large blood-splatter effects. Some attack techniques allow players to enter a focused aiming mode with dramatic slow-motion effects, as enemies are shot repeatedly. Some weapons result in dismemberment/decapitation. Cutscenes depict further instances of intense violence: a woman slashed by thugs in first-person; characters electrocuting captives tied to chairs; a man slitting a character's throat. The game contains drug references: a Jonesing Man and Jonesing Woman trying to obtain opioids; dialogue options about opioid use (e.g., “I always thought it was junkies who know such things”; “So just having drugs from a doctor is enough to be a junkie legally?”). The word “f**k” appears in the game.
