Gears of War: Reloaded

Gears of War: Reloaded is rated M for Mature 17+ by the ESRB with Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, and Strong Language. Also includes Users Interact. This is a third-person shooter in which players assume the role of an elite soldier fighting to stop an alien threat. Players complete missions and solve puzzles while using pistols, machine guns, shotguns, and chainsaws to kill fantastical enemies (e.g., locust, drones, berserkers). Combat is frenetic, highlighted by frequent explosions, cries of pain, and large blood-splatter effects. Some weapons allow players to dismember/decapitate enemies, resulting in body parts (e.g., limbs, torsos) amid pools of blood. Some cutscenes depict close-up instances of violence: a soldier's head shot off; a chainsaw slicing through an alien; shadows of an alien tearing a soldier apart and tossing his head on the ground. The words “f**k,” “sh*t,” and “a*shole” appear in the game.
