Rating Summary
This is a role-playing game in which players assume the roles of ex-yakuza members battling criminal syndicates in Hawaii. As players explore Honolulu and Yokohama, they interact with characters and fight various enemies (e.g., local gangs, street thugs) in turn-based combat. Players take turns selecting moves from a menu to use punches, kicks, and weapons (e.g., guns, knives, swords) to defeat enemies. Cutscenes depict instances of intense violence: a montage of a man stabbing, slashing, and punching enemies (with close-ups and blood-splatter effects); a character interrogating a man, then shooting off the victim's finger (off-camera); a figure pinned to a wall by metal spikes and a knife; characters assassinated inside a car. During the course of the game, players can visit hostess clubs to improve bonds between party members; players can select from various hostesses (dressed in bikini tops and hot pants) and watch them dance on poles. One prolonged sequence depicts a man with exposed buttocks, as various objects obscure his genitalia. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” appear in the game.
