Rating Summary
Deep Rock Galactic: Special Edition is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Blood, Language, Use of Alcohol and Tobacco, and Violence. Also includes Users Interact and In-Game Purchases. This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of an employee for an intergalactic mining corporation. Players can explore for resources, dig through mines, and battle various bug-like alien creatures (e.g., spawns, grunts, larva). Players use pistols, shotguns, machine guns, and rifles to kill enemies in fast-paced combat. Battles with bugs are highlighted by realistic gunfire, explosions, and colored splatter effects. Human characters emit small puffs of blood when shot. During the course of the game, players' character can purchase and consume alcoholic beverages, sometimes resulting in screen-blurring effects. One character is often depicted smoking a cigar in a bottom-screen portrait. The word “sh*t” appears in the game.
