Gothic

This is a role-playing game in which players assume the role of a prisoner exiled to a magically sealed mining colony. From a third-person perspective, players explore the medieval colony while interacting with characters, completing objectives, and engaging in hand-to-hand combat with enemies (e.g., fantastical creatures, inmates). Players use swords to slash and kill enemies in melee-style combat. Battles are highlighted by impact sounds, cries of pain, and blood-splatter effects. Attacking human enemies can cause them to collapse to the ground, allowing players to perform a finishing attack to kill them. The game depicts female characters wearing revealing outfits (e.g., thongs, lingerie), with deep cleavage and partially exposed buttocks; female characters can be seen dancing and/or scrubbing the floors of a warlord's throne room. One sketch page depicts a drawing of a nude woman, with exposed breasts and nipples. During the course of the game, players can obtain and smoke a fictional “swamp weed” that resembles a rolled cannabis joint. The word “sh*t” appears in the game.
