Rating Summary

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is rated M for Mature 17+ by the ESRB with Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, and Strong Language. Also includes Users Interact and In-Game Purchases. This is a team-based horror game, based on the movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre, in which players assume the role of either a killer hunting victims, or victims laying traps, hiding, and fleeing from the killer. Players employ stealth and tracking techniques, and use knives, razors, and chainsaws to attack human characters, who can be executed dramatically once their health has been depleted. Execution cutscenes depict multiple angles of killers stabbing victims repeatedly; cutscenes also depict slashing of throats and impaling with a chainsaw—blood-splatter effects occur frequently. A handful of cutscenes depict characters hung on meat hooks before getting stabbed. Some rooms contain mutilated corpses (e.g., body parts hung on walls/hooks, buckets filled with viscera). The words “f**k” and “sh*t” appear in the game.
