Batora: Lost Haven

This is an action role-playing game in which players help a teenager save Earth from an impending calamity by using supernatural powers. From a 3/4-overhead perspective, players explore alien worlds, interact with characters, and battle creatures in frenetic melee-style combat. Players use a sword and energy blasts to kill creatures and larger boss characters. Combat is highlighted by cries of pain, impact sounds, and screen-shaking effects. Cutscenes depict further instances of violence: a golem-like god crushing an alien; a lizard-like alien self-detonating into enemies. One female character is designed with a revealing outfit (e.g., under-cleavage). Out of a variety of artifacts, one is a tooth depicted with small bloodstains. The words “bastard” and “a*se” appear in the game.
