Winter’s Wish: Spirits of Edo

This is a visual novel in which players follow the story of a woman with mysterious powers in a fictional Meiji-era Japanese village. As players follow the story, they can make choices that influence the plot's outcome. Some sequences depict sword fights, with clashing sounds and cries of pain. Based on players' choices, events/sequences can result in a character's death, which is conveyed via text and audio (e.g., a scene describing a character's strangulation, with neck-snapping sounds). Small bloodstains appear on characters' clothes during battle sequences; drops of blood can be seen briefly splattering the screen. One scene depicts a couple kissing, with some suggestive text (e.g., “I began leaving kisses on her neck...When I did, Suzuno let out a sigh, trembling all the while...Hoping to hear more I went wild sucking on her soft skin. . .”). The title screen depicts a character holding a smoking pipe. The words “sh*t,” “a*shole,” and “b*tch” appear in the game.
