Vernal Edge

This is an action-adventure game in which players help a warrior on a quest for vengeance against her father. From a side-scrolling perspective, players traverse 2D platform environments while battling pixelated enemies (e.g., monsters, guards, and human bosses) in melee-style combat. Players use swords and magic spells (e.g., Fire Spiral, Piercing Ray) to defeat enemies; battles are accompanied by impact sounds, cries of pain, and color light bursts. The word “a*shole” appears in the game.
