Anno 1800 is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Alcohol and Tobacco Reference, Language, and Mild Violence. Also includes Users Interact and In-Game Purchases. This is a strategy game in which players manage a trading company while balancing aspects of their settlements during the Industrial Age. From a top-down perspective, players build various structures, cultivate crops, manage citizens, and battle hostile forces. Some sequences depict naval warfare, with small ships shooting cannons at other ships and coastal buildings; battles are accompanied by frequent gunfire and explosions. Players can manufacture dozens of commodities and industries, including alcohol and tobacco (e.g., schnapps, beer, rum, cigars), trading these products to complete certain objectives. The word “sh*t” appears in the game.
