Rating Summary
Lover Pretend is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Language, Suggestive Themes, and Use of Alcohol. This is a visual novel in which players follow the story of a college student searching for her father by working as a film production assistant. As players progress through the story, they can make dialogue choices that influence the narrative. Some choices can lead to romantic relationships with other characters: characters kissing and caressing each other in bed, accompanied by descriptive detail (e.g., “His love came in short, hot whispers between gasps and the entwining of our tongues”; “Unable to speak I responded hard and fast through our kiss. Wet smacks echoed throughout the room as our lips met and pulled away.”); a man's chest caressed by a woman during a photoshoot. The game contains several references to alcohol in the dialogue (e.g., “Are you already drunk?” / “Nah, just buzzed”; “Takes more than this to get me drunk.”), including a prolonged sequence in which two characters drink at a bar. The word “sh*t” appears in the game.
