Rating Summary
Medal of Honor Above and Beyond is rated M for Mature 17+ by the ESRB with Blood, Strong Language, and Violence. Also includes Users Interact. This is a VR first-person shooter in which players lead a group of resistance commandos through military missions during WWII. Players battle Nazi forces across several territories (e.g., North Africa, France, Germany, Norway), using machine guns, rifles, pistols, and explosives to kill enemy soldiers in frenetic firefights. Battles are highlighted by realistic gunfire, large explosions, and screams of pain. Large blood-splatter effects occur as enemies are shot and killed; some environments depict large pools of blood on the ground. Cutscene sequences may depict additional acts of violence: a Nazi officer executing a civilian; an officer getting shot in slow motion. The words “f**k” and “a*shole" are heard in the game.
