Konami Collector's Series: Castlevania and Contra

This is a collection of three classic Castlevania games and two Contra games. From a 2D side-scrolling perspective, players mostly traverse platform environments and throw/shoot projectiles at enemy monsters, aliens, and vehicles. Characters use whips, spears, knives, and blaster-like guns to defeat enemies. Defeated enemies generally blink, get engulfed in flames, and/or disappear from the screen. A handful of levels depict small spots of blood on skulls or on creatures' heads. One still image depicts a soldier with a cigarette in his mouth.
