THE KING OF FIGHTERS™ '98 ULTIMATE MATCH is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Suggestive Themes, Use of Alcohol and Tobacco, and Violence. This is an arcade-style fighting game in which players compete in one-on-one/three-on-three matches in King of Fighters tournaments. Players select fighters that punch, kick, and use special attacks (e.g., fireballs, electrical strikes, energy blasts) to drain opponents' life meters. Combat is frenetic, with screams of pain, bursts of lights, and impact sound effects. Some female characters are depicted in low-cut outfits, with exposed cleavage and/or jiggling breasts. One character's special moves reference alcohol (e.g., Sake Slammer, Drunken Twister); he is often seen smoking from a pipe and drinking from a sake bottle.
