Tamashii

This is a puzzle-platformer in which players assume the role of an emissary trying to stop an evil entity inside a horror/occult-themed temple. Players run and jump through side-scrolling levels filled with disturbing imagery: fetus-like creatures on platforms; levels covered with bloody eyeballs; corpses hanging and/or mounted on walls; characters that expand and explode as players walk by. Players mainly battle enemies by summoning skulls that shoot orbs at monsters. One area depicts a guillotine stained with blood; solving a puzzle causes the guillotine to drop on a head—a static screen obscures the decapitation. One boss battle requires players to battle against a bloody fetus-like monster. Some background images depict characters with exposed breasts; several monsters are depicted with exposed pelvic/groin areas.
