Valfaris

This is an action-platformer in which players help Therion, a returning galactic traveler, rid his home (Valfaris) of an evil force. From a side-scrolling perspective, players traverse platform environments and use laser swords and plasma pistols to kill enemy creatures (e.g. alien soldiers, mutant creatures, technorganic spiders) in frenetic combat. Most attacks are accompanied by large blood-splatter effects, as creatures blow up into chunks of flesh; large blood stains often appear on the ground. Some attacks on humanoid enemies result in dismemberment, depicting exposed entrails and lower halves. As players progress, they can encounter small holographic images of topless female characters.
