Rating Summary
11-11 Memories Retold is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Language, Mild Blood, Use of Alcohol and Tobacco, and Violence. This is a third-person adventure game in which players assume the role of two different soldiers on opposing sides during World War I. Players can take pictures, document events, navigate the trenches, and progress through a narrative, making choices along the way. Some choices lead to sequences that depict instances of violence and blood: soldiers shot and killed by machine gun fire; a bound prisoner executed off screen; blood underneath corpses and on characters' bodies. Throughout gameplay, the two central characters are thrust into battle and if shot, the screen fades to black. During the course of the game, soldiers can be seen smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol (e.g., wine, whisky). The word “sh*t” appears in the game.
