Death's Gambit

This is an action role-playing game in which players assume the role of an agent of Death (Sorun) seeking mortality by hunting down other immortal characters. From a side-scrolling perspective, players traverse platforms while using swords, rifles, and arrows to attack fantastical enemies and boss characters. Characters sometimes emit splashes of blood when attacked, and some boss levels contain large bloodstains. Background images occasionally depict corpses and/or body parts laying in pools of blood, and a handful of cutscenes depict brief images of characters bursting into body parts when attacked. During the course of the game, players can obtain Grimgand's Brew, which is depicted as a frothy mug in players' inventor; a rat is depicted hiccupping and swaying while holding a bottle.
