The Persistence

The Persistence is rated M for Mature 17+ by the ESRB with Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, and Strong Language. This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of a clone attempting to save a spaceship from mutated crew members. Players use machine guns, knives, grenades and futuristic weapons (gravity bombs) to attack and kill mutants. Combat is highlighted by realistic gunfire, cries of pain, explosions, and blood-splatter effects. Close-range attacks depict more intense violence, with players able to push their fingers into enemies' eyes, or slash their throats. A handful of scenes depict headless or mutilated bodies, and one type of enemy appears with only half of its head intact. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” appear in the dialogue.
