Layers of Fear : Masterpiece Edition

This is an adventure game, set in the early 1900s, in which players assume the role of an artist as he descends into madness. From a first-person perspective, players explore rooms in a mansion, encountering ghosts and bizarre images/figures. Some visions depict large trails of blood; players also encounter objects such as flayed skin, severed fingers, and human eyeballs. The dialogue references acts of violence: “I used a razor in fact, and then...carefully flayed the skin”; “Chopped it off. Easier than sawing a leg”; “I gouged it out. Scooped it up like ice cream.” During the course of the game, a ghostly figure is briefly depicted with exposed breasts. The word “f**k” is heard in dialogue.
