Metroid: Samus Returns

This is an action-adventure game in which players assume the role of a bounty hunter (Samus Aran) exploring the subterranean passages/caves of a fictional planet. From a side-scrolling perspective, players run and jump through platform environments while battling various alien creatures. Players use an arm cannon to shoot laser projectiles at enemies; players can also use a slashing melee attack to defeat stronger enemies. Alien creatures generally cry out in pain then disappear when defeated. Some hand-drawn images briefly depict dead aliens on the ground. One scene briefly depicts an alien corpse in a puddle of green blood. Depending on how fast players complete the game, Samus is either shown wearing her full suit, her suit minus the helmet, or a leotard underneath the suit at the elapsed time-completion screen.
