Brut@l is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Blood and Violence. This is an adventure-role-playing game in which players control a hero through dungeons in order to reach a final guardian. Presented from a 3/4 top-down perspective, the game depicts violence in a stylized manner, with enemies made from ASCII letters that explode into their component letters. Characters use swords, clubs, axes, arrows, and magic spells to defeat fantastical enemies (e.g., skeletons, knights, spiders, dragons) in melee-style combat. Combat is highlighted by cries of pain, explosions, and large blood-splatter effects that disappear quickly. Blood-splatter also appears on some menu screens.
