88 Heroes

This is an action platformer in which players control 88 different heroes as they attempt to stop an alien creature from destroying the world. Players traverse side-scrolling levels within a time limit and use each hero's skills (e.g., flight, reverse gravity) and/or weaponry (e.g., pistols, swords, laser blasts) to defeat enemy robots and avoid hazards. Enemies disappear amid a mild explosion of pixels. The game includes instances of comical/bodily humor: a hero with a mucus bubble near its nose; text that mentions "booger" and "snot"; a fly character that vomits on his enemies to defeat them. One hero is described as being “sozzled” and is shown drinking from a martini glass; another character is depicted with a cigar in his mouth. The word “a*s” appears in the text.
