Recore is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Violence. This is an action-adventure game in which players assume the role of Joule Adams, a young survivor navigating an apocalyptic world. From a third-person perspective, players explore platform environments, solve puzzles, and battle mechanical enemies known as Corebots. Combat is frenetic, with Joule using a rifle/machine gun to kill enemies that shoot lasers, sparks, and spiked projectiles. Most battles feature large explosions, realistic gunfire, and multiple enemies attacking at once.
