Blackguards - Definitive Edition

This is a strategy/role-playing game in which players assume the role of an outlaw seeking revenge in a fantasy world. As players move through the storyline, they interact with characters and engage in turn-based battles with human and fantastical enemies. From a 3/4-top-down perspective, players move their characters around a grid and select moves from a menu; characters use swords, arrows, and magic attacks (e.g., fireballs, ice blasts) to kill various enemies (e.g., human thugs, skeletons, goblins). Some weapons/attacks result in large splashes of blood. Cutscenes and other sequences also depicts instances of violence and blood: a character tortured on a rack; a woman mauled by a wolf, resulting in large blood stains; a man thrown against a wall by a giant squid, resulting in blood-splatter effects; a character impaled by several spears, with blood effects. The game contains some suggestive dialogue (e.g, “A Minivatu slave girl lay on my left, and the captain's daughter on my right"; “Only the other night, during a witches' Sabbath, I had my way with three ram-headed hunks”; "...your hot-blooded southerner spends it all in a whorehouse.")
