Rating Summary
In this action role-playing game, players assume the role of two demon blade hunters on a quest to find a legendary sword in feudal Japan. As players run and jump through side-scrolling levels, they use swords and special attacks to kill demons, ninjas, and enemy swordsmen in melee-style combat. Battles are highlighted by cries of pain, sword-slashing effects, and mild explosions. During the course of the game, the dialogue sometimes references sexual material (e.g., “Here in Yoshiwara, women are bought and sold as a matter of course,” “I will not be humiliated by a whore like you,” and “Why is a monk muff-diving in Yoshiwara?”). There is also a depiction of a female character in a revealing kimono; the character's breasts jiggle in an exaggerated manner. The game also includes several alcohol references (e.g., “We have several kinds of sake available,” "...pricey, but easy to drink, sake,” and “I know what this is...It is what is known as a 'hangover.' ”). The words “sh*t” and “a*shole” can be heard in dialogue.
