Rating Summary
Haunted Hotel 3: Lonely Dream and Haunted Hotel 4: Charles Dexter Ward is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Mild Blood, Mild Violence, and Use of Tobacco. This is a collection of two hidden-object adventure games in which players investigate mysteries surrounding a haunted hotel. Players solve puzzles and collect inventory items to advance the narrative, which contains some dark thematic elements (e.g., slumped-over skeletons; descriptions of perilous situations and/or death in the dialogue). Some sequences also contain brief acts of violence: characters getting choked, knocked unconscious, or held at gunpoint. A handful of scenes are accompanied by blood effects (e.g., a medical room with faded red markings on the floor/walls); one sequence depicts a blood-speckled sheet covering a corpse. During cutscenes, a police detective is repeatedly shown smoking cigarettes.
