Rating Summary
FINAL FANTASY XI: Seekers of Adoulin is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Animated Blood, Mild Language, Mild Suggestive Themes, and Violence. This is a massively multiplayer online (MMO) role-playing game set in the fantasy world of Vana'diel. As players explore the open-world environment, they can interact with characters, join a variety of guilds, and engage in various quests. Quest objectives sometimes involve using magic and/or hand-to-hand combat to kill enemy creatures (e.g., dragons, giant insects, and human-like creatures). Battles are accompanied by slashing sounds, cries of pain, colorful projectiles, and large explosions. Cutscenes include additional instances of violence: a character impaled with a sword; a monster attacked close-up, resulting in splashes of purple blood on the screen. A handful of creatures are depicted in revealing outfits, or with moderate amounts of cleavage. The words “bastard,” “damn,” and “hell” can be heard in the dialogue.
