Rating Summary
This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of Daniel Garner, a man attempting to join his wife in the afterlife. Players use guns, flamethrowers, and explosives to kill waves of demonic creatures (e.g., ghosts, zombies, skeletons) and “collect” their souls. The frenetic combat is accompanied by realistic gunfire, explosions, and exaggerated blood splashes. Blood-splatter effects may also appear on screen or in the surrounding environment, and dead bodies incur additional damage when shot. One weapon (a stake gun) pins creatures to walls, as they are depicted flailing and screaming; other weapons (e.g., rotating blades) result in dismemberment and decapitation of enemies (e.g., scattered limbs, heads, torsos). The word “f**k” can be heard in the dialogue.
