Rating Summary
Continent of the Ninth Seal is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Alcohol Reference, Mild Language, and Violence. This is a massively multiplayer online (MMO) role-playing game in which players choose from various warrior classes (e.g., Hunter, Shaman, Fighter) to complete quests in a fantasy world. Mission objectives sometimes involve using magic and/or hand-to-hand combat to kill specific enemies (e.g., giant monsters, animal-like creatures, human-like characters). Damage is indicated by slashing/thumping sounds, colorful explosions, and depleted life meters. In one mode, players can initiate timed arena-style matches against other opponents. Some of the dialogue references alcoholic beverages (e.g., “Drinkers call it the best liquor jar in existence,” "This reminds me of the old days when I used to drink Lunard Liquor,” and “Not only because this liquor tastes so great.”). The words “a*s” and “damn” also appear in dialogue.
