Rating Summary
This is a point-and-click adventure game in which players must uncover the mystery surrounding an abandoned underground complex. From a first-person perspective, players explore various environments to search for clues, solve logic- or inventory-based puzzles, and piece together the storyline. Players can periodically access journal entries or newspaper clippings that reference murder, torture, and suicide: “He was begging me cos he could see that I had the knife out . . . Got him right across the face. Really opened him up,” “He was sent here for killing his mother and father as well as his younger brother and sister,” and “[She] was found in the bathtub with her wrists cut in an apparently successful suicide bid.” A few sequences depict bloodstained furniture; similar blood effects can be seen on “game over” screens. One newspaper article describes a pharmaceutical company's “experimental hallucinogen,” and another alludes to drug-related activities (e.g., “[T]hey'll wish they'd kept their drug deals to themselves. So my bro stole a little H from them?”). The words “a*s,” “b*tch,” and “bastard” appear on-screen.
