Rating Summary
In this strategy role-playing game, players assume the role of rebels fighting against an oppressive empire. From a 3/4–overhead perspective, players use staffs, swords, spears, and magic attacks to kill human enemies and fantastical creatures (e.g., harpies, skeletons, vampires) in turn-based combat. Battles are accompanied by colorful light effects and slashing sounds. During some interactive sequences, players have the option of sparing or killing various characters; if they choose the latter, enemies are quickly struck to the ground. One sequence depicts a bloody guillotine and blood stains on the walls and ground. The game contains some suggestive material in the dialogue (e.g., “They let us share a cell with a woman.”/“Just in case we need some action, y'know?” and “Are you lusting for me? . . . Whatever state you're in: betrayal, pain, worry, sexual arousal. . .”). Some conversations contain alcohol references (e.g., “Ragnus, get me some fire whiskey,” “P-please don't have too much to drink tonight,” “Paulo seems to be intoxicated just from the scent of fire liquor . . .” “Maleca Village has been producing high-quality alcohol in secret. . .”). The words “a*s” and “bastard” appear in dialogue.
