Rating Summary
This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of Tom Riley, a New Jersey firefighter caught in the middle of an alien invasion. Players use machine guns, assault rifles, crossbow-shotguns, explosives, and alien weaponry to kill enemy creatures in frenetic combat; a fireman's axe can also be used to dispatch enemies at close range. Blood-splatter effects and screaming sounds occur when characters are shot or slashed, and realistic gunfire can be heard throughout. Headshots can decapitate enemies, and some weapons cause aliens to explode into bloody gibs. In one cutescene, players' character pulls a large piece of shrapnel from the chest of a wounded scientist, whose body is covered in blood. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” can be heard in the dialogue.
