Rating Summary
This is a hidden-object game in which players investigate four mysteries in a strange mansion. Players solve puzzles and search through scenes of jumbled objects to advance the storyline. During the course of the game, newspaper clippings reference explicit acts of violence: “. . . an angry mob captured the witch and threw her into a bonfire,” “[A] wire hanging from a pole severed his head. What was left of his body fell back into the cabin.” An accompanying scene depicts blood splatter across a broken window. One sequence requires players to retrieve a glass of “hock cup” (an alcoholic beverage) for a woman who promptly drinks it; another scene depicts a man smoking a pipe.
